Sunshine Smiles: Exploring Emotions

  • Mano’s SF 1582 43rd Ave, San Francisco, CA 94122 (map)

Join me for a heartwarming and engaging 2-hour Emotion Workshop designed specifically for children aged 3-5. This workshop is a delightful journey into the world of emotions, where little ones will learn to identify, express, and manage their feelings through a series of fun and interactive activities. Activities aim to foster emotional intelligence, empathy, and self-expression in a supportive and playful environment.

Some Activities to Expect:

- Creative Expression: Through emotion spinners, drawing, and crafting emotion masks, children will explore and express their feelings in various artistic ways.

- Interactive Games: Engaging games like Emotions Charades, Monster-Emotions Match, and Emotions Jenga will help children recognize and understand their own emotions and those of others.

- Story Time: Selected readings will introduce children to characters experiencing a range of emotions, providing valuable lessons in empathy and emotional awareness.

- Mindfulness and Reflection: Simple mindfulness exercises, including listening to a rain stick and feelings journaling, will encourage children to reflect on their emotions and learn calming techniques.

- Physical and Sensory Play: Activities like play-dough mats offer a tactile experience for children to explore facial expressions and emotions, enhancing their sensory and emotional understanding.

Sunshine Smiles is more than just fun and games; it's a stepping stone toward building emotionally intelligent, empathetic, and expressive young individuals. Join me for this enriching experience that your child will remember and benefit from long after the workshop ends.
